Helping You Feel Like a Rockstar

October 15, 2021

C — Circumstances are facts and are indisputable

T — Thoughts are a result of how an individual interprets each fact or circumstance.

F — Thoughts generate a feeling – positive or negative

A — Actions (or lack of actions) are generated by feelings

R — Actions determine results (positive or negative)

The ideal client’s model:

C: Weight

T: I can lose it, but I gain it back

F: Frustration

A: Continue thought loop, don’t start a program, don’t succeed with a plan, prioritize other things (work, family, relationships, others), overeat/buffer, overdrink/buffer, shop/buffer, avoid a plan, live in overwhelm; looking for evidence through past experience

R: Re-gain the weight

What do I want them to feel?

  • Hope
  • Excitement
  • Determination
  • Energy
  • Optimism
  • Commitment
  • Curiosity

Coming from a world where success is measured by status (financial, social, accomplishment, education, job, etc.), I have finally learned that none of it matters – to me. It matters to a lot of other people, but not to me. And at the end of the day, I am all that matters – to me. How could it take me 64 years to figure that out? I am by all standards very intelligent and accomplished. I have been a surgeon for 35 years, have several other advanced degrees, have had the privilege of caring for patients and their loved ones and I am a U.S. Navy veteran. I have received many awards. I have succeeded in ways that many men have not, and none of it mattered to me at the end of the day.

18 months ago, I weighed over 200 pounds (35 pounds less that my heaviest), worked full time as a surgeon with a successful practice. I had struggled with my weight my entire life. I had success losing weight many times, only to gain it back. I continued to be frustrated, angry, depressed, and resigned to being someone I really didn’t like very much. Fast forward to today. I weight 138 pounds – a NORMAL weight for the first time in my life - and have maintained this weight for a over a year. I will never be overweight or obese again. I know that. No fear. Life is so terrific, and I am thankful everyday for what I have, where I am, and where I am going.

I am a Certified Life Coach. I have learned how to change the way I think, feel and act, and the results are astounding. I lost 65 pounds in 6 months and learned to appreciate that I am a rockstar. We all are. If you don’t feel like a rockstar, I can and WILL help you. Let’s start that trip together.

I have lost weight at least a dozen times – Weight Watchers, Nutrisystem, Medifast, Ideal Protein, liquid diet, Atkins, South Beach, keto – you name it, I have done it. All of these diets shared one thing in common – as soon as I stopped the program, the weight I had lost came right back, and then some.
